Registered as an Investment Adviser with SEBI, Kiran is qualified with a Masters in Management Studies from University of Mumbai and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERCM certification. She has over 22 years of experience in finance and banking, with over 15 years as a financial advisor. Kiran started her career in the world of finance in 1998 with the erstwhile Bank of Madura and then moved to Axis Bank. She worked in various capacities in branch banking. She started working independently as a personal finance professional since 2006, when she founded her firm ABT Capital Advisors. In 2014, she co-founded Dhanayush Capital Advisors Pvt Ltd.
Over the years, she has earned vast experience in dealing with the money issues of people. More importantly, she has gained tremendous goodwill and trust of her clients by working to help them achieve their financial goals, make smart financial decisions and simplifying their financial lives.
She is also a founder member and past President of The Financial Planners’ Guild, India which works towards promoting financial planning profession in India and for the betterment of the financial planning professionals.
Kiran writes regularly on personal finance topics in various leading newspapers and on finance portals including Business Standard, Indian Express, Business Bhaskar and Moneycontrol. She is also quoted across leading media in the area of personal finance and appears on television and digital media shows.
Financial literacy is her passion. She is associated with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) for their various programs investor awareness, Kiran is also a member of the examination committee for the NISM Series XVII: Retirement Advisor Certification Examination.
Her book, titled Mindful Retirement, published by CNBC TV18 in 2018, covers retirement as a holistic subject rather than just a goal to be achieved at a certain age. It has been appreciated by readers across all age groups.
